Monument Square Halloween Parade Thursday, Spirit Tour Halloween Eve

Evens happening this week in Charlestown.

• The 28th annual Monument Square Halloween Parade at the Bunker Hill Monument will be held on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31. Participants should gather at the Monument at 5 p.m. with the parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. The parade will start at the front of the Monument with The Tony Barrie Band and the Monument Square Wizard leading the way; keep an eye out for a juggling unicycler and a stilt walker along the route, and some special surprises. The parade will extend into the Training Field which is a great place for the younger kids.

  •  Mr. Ron the Balloon Man will return, and this year we’ are bringing back The Cooperative Bank “The Haunted, but Not Spooky House,” plus some features for older kids.
  • If you live along the parade route, you can help by decorating your home and handing
  • out treats in costume.

  • • On Halloween eve, Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 5 p.m., join the Spirits of Charlestown Historic Ghost Tour, a 90 minute walk that leaves from the Fountain at City Square Park and travels along the Freedom Trail in Charlestown where you will find out who is haunting each historic site.
