St. John School First Summer Camp Program a Huge Success!

St. John School, located in Boston’s Historic North End, started a summer camp program for ages 4 and 5 this year.  It is a five week camp and has 30 campers.

Camp Coordinator and Counselor, Lisa Santarpio says “It’s been a great experience with all of our little campers.  We are very busy every day!  Some of the fun things the campers do are: special arts and crafts (decorate your own camp bag, camp shirt, camp hat, photo frame for a camp picture, and a camp memory book”  The children go on a weekly field trip, weekly yoga, and weekly swimming lessons.  During the day, except on field trip day, you can see our campers, with their blue shirts, down at Puopolo Park, Mirabella  kids pool, Christopher Columbus Park, or having a picnic near Long Wharf.

Other camp counselors include Daniella Frattaroli and Michelle DeMarco.  For a few weeks, Nico Alex, 7th grade student at St. John School, assisted the counselors.

Special thanks goes out to our camp sponsors this year: Lucia’s Ristorante, Ducali Pizzeria, Filippo Ristorante, Virgilio Laundry and Jillian DeMarco.  We sincerely appreciate their support as sponsors with our first summer camp.

It’s been a lot of fun and we look forward to next summer’s camp!
