New Member Elected to Neighborhood Council

Charlestown resident Amanda Reinfeld will join six incumbents as at-large representatives on the CNC.

Local voters re-elected six incumbent Charlestown Neighborhood Association members and one new member to the seven at-large seats at an election held Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Knights of Columbus hall.

New candidate Amanda Reinfeld earned a spot on the council, along with incumbents Barbara Babin, Peg Bradley, Tom Cunha, Ed Grace, Mark Rosenshein and Erin Sullivan.

Incumbent Paul Clausen also ran for a seat but did not receive enough votes.

A total of 325 people voted in the CNC election, according to CNC vice chairman David Whelan.

The CNC serves as an advisory group for Boston City Council, representing the Charlestown neighborhood. The council includes 21 members—seven at-large, seven representing each precinct in Charlestown and seven representing Charlestown’s nonprofit organizations.

CNC meetings, which are open to the public, are usually held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall.

The next general meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 4.
