Charlestown Neighborhood Council Takes Up St. Catherine's, Armory Development

Top on the agenda of the monthly meeting Tuesday, Oct. 1 will be new construction coming to the neighborhood.

The monthly meeting of the Charlestown Neighborhood Council will take up the renovation of three prominent neighborhood landmarks

The meeting of the elected representative body of the Charlestown neighborhood  will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 545 Medford St.

Presentations by the Real Estate Project Development committee chaired by Mark Rosenshein will discuss the re-development of St. Catherine’s Church, its school building and the Charlestown Armory.

In addition, the council will hear presentations from:
• Josh Trautwein from Fresh Truck,
• Eric Levy of Save that Stuff, and 
• Robert Rametti, the principal of the Clarence R. Edwards Middle School. 

There will also be the monthly reports by the Public Safety committee and Basic Services which will discuss the Dunkin' Donuts signage.

In addition to the CNC, there are upcoming meetings and events of note:
• The Public Safety committee will meet on Oct. 15 at the District Police Station in Hayes Square at 6:30 p.m.
• The Mitigation Criteria meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3.
• There will be Mitigation presentations on Oct. 17, 24 and 31.
