Pedestrian Hit By Car Tuesday Near Charlestown's Sullivan Square

It was the second incident in which a person was struck in the area in the last week.

A pedestrian was injured Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in Charlestown. 

The individual had been walking in the area of Sullivan Square around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when the person was hit by a vehicle and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, according to Boston.com

Boston Police did not immediately release additional information regarding the incident or the victim's injuries, according to the report.

The incident marks the second of its kind in a week. Last Thursday, a bicyclist was struck and killed by a garbage truck in the area of Cambridge and Spice streets.
