Boston fire crews responded to reports of a building fire on Cambridge Street in Charlestown early Friday.

The fire was reported in a wood-frame building on Cambridge Street shortly before 1 p.m. Friday, with fire crews responding to the scene and quickly knocking down the blaze.

The Boston Fire Department reported that the fire took place in the rear of the third floor of a third-floor apartment building. No injuries were reported, and the building had four apartments, but it was unknown Friday how many had been displaced.

Charlestown Patch will provide more information as it becomes available.
