Obituary: Audrey M. (Paige) Roy, Lifelong Charlestown Resident

Audrey M. (Paige) Roy, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died suddenly on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

She was 75 years old.

Audrey was born in Boston on April 26, 1938, a daughter of the late Andrew Paige and Mildred (Shorey) Paige. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Audrey was a homemaker and enjoyed the simple things in life.

Audrey is the beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Roy. She is the devoted mother of Thomas P. Roy Jr. and his wife Mary of Melrose, Tyler Roy and his wife Cheryl of Charlestown and the late Diann Smith. She is the loving Nana to Terry, Tiffany, Michelle, Nicole, Bridget and her great-grandchildren Andrew, Matthew, Ryleigh, Ashlyn and Brielle. She is the beloved sister of Frances Dillinger and her family Gail and Stephen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Audrey's Funeral Service on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Burial will be at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
