Moksa’s Novo Fogo: Moksa Hosts Cultural Cocktail Event Celebrating Novo Fogo Cachaça

Ready to experience Brazilian Zen? Then clear your schedule on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 as representatives from Novo Fogo Organic, the popular cachaça distiller, bring the spirit of Brazil to Moksa located in Cambridge, MA. From 7:00PM to 9:00PM guests are invited to the cultural cocktail event which will include cachaça drink specials and samplings as well as a chance to mix and muddle their very own cocktails!

Cachaça, a Brazilian style of rum that is made with sugar cane rather than molasses, is the third most consumed spirit in the world (Brazil even dedicates 3 days a year to celebrate it!), and this evening Moksa is hoping on (er, off…) the bandwagon. Guest bartender, Corey Bunnewith from Inspired Beverage, and Moksa’s very own, Noon Inthasuwan will be mixing up Bossa Novas ($6), the specialty cocktail of the night, made with Novo Fogo Organic, a pioneer in the Cachaça industry and one of the few distilleries that is environmentally friendly, produces zero waste and works towards preserving the environment.

With all the mixing, mingling and muddling, guests are sure to work up an appetite, and Moksa has just the fix! The kitchen will be serving a variety of $1.00 & $2.00 bar bites off their “Bars on Fire” happy hour menu including shrimp shumai, tuna dumplings and vegetable spring rolls ($1/per item) as well as chicken lettuce wraps, tea smoked pork belly steam buns and baby back ribs ($2/per piece). Guests won’t want to miss this opportunity to join this unique cultural experience, and at the end of the night they’ll walk away with their very own mason jar for future mixing!

WHEN: Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM
WHERE: Moksa, 450 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA 02139
COST: Free Admission. $6 per drink with Organic Novo Fogo Cachaça
