UPDATE: Legal Seafood Unveils New Concept for Former Olives Site Thursday

Meeting to take place at 6:30 p.m. at Charlestown High School.

After much speculation just what was moving into the former Olives location in City Square, Legal Seafood will unveil what will likely be an entirely new restaurant concept to be located in Todd English's old haunt at a meeting on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Charlestown High School, 240 Medford St.

A Facebook post from the site Foodservice East indicates that "there's a 90% chance Roger Berkowitz will do a new Mediterranean concept geared to the neighborhood in the former Olives space."

According to Zagets "a neighborhood restaurant serving Italian-style seafood" from executive chef Rich Vellante who will "develop a menu based on the food he cooks at home for family and friends."

This news is very dissapointing. I enjoy dining at Legal's restaurants, but the City Square neighborhood of Charlestown deserves a restaurant with more character than one that is part of a large chain and geared towards tourists
