Daily 5: 'All About Eve', Abutters Meeting on 70 Ferrin St.

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on Monday, July 22 in Charlestown.

1. Movie Mondays: Check out some of Hollywood’s classic films on Mondays in July at the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.). The July 22 film will be “All About Eve” (1950). This event will start at 2:30 p.m. and is free and open to the community.

2. Abutters meeting: The Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services has scheduled an abutters meeting for a proposal to erect two dormers at 70 Ferrin St. The meeting will be held on Monday, July 22 at 7 p.m. at 100 Ferrin St., Charlestown.

3. Read to Seamus: Children are welcome to drop by the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.) on Mondays in June from 4:30-5:30 p.m. to read to trained therapy dog Seamus. For more information, call 617-242-1248.

4. Teens free at the Y: The Charlestown YMCA (150 Third Ave.) is offering free summer memberships for teenagers up to age 19 from June 29 through Sept. 7. As members, teens can participate in sports and fitness programs, teen dances and events, volunteer and leadership opportunities and academic support programs. Drop by to sign up; bring a valid ID.
