Charlestown to Host Civil War Memorial This Month
Find out where and when the event will be held, and who will be on hand.
Officials are preparing for an upcoming Civil War memorial event at the end of the month in Charlestown.
The Veterans for the Civil War Memorial event will run from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 27 at the JW Conway Bunker Hill Post 26 American Legion, 23 Adams St. in Charlestown.
An opening ceremony will be held at noon and will feature civil war speakers, and a concert will be held at 1 p.m. featuring the Providence Brigade Band. Organizers will hold a reading of the Civil War Roll of the Dead at Charlestown High School.

A wreath laying will be held at the training field at 3 p.m.
