American Legion Post 26 Veterans Day Open House

On Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, Charlestown veterans and active duty personal are invited to an open house at the J.W. Conway Bunker Hill Post 26, The American Legion. 

The Post, which is located at 23 Adams St. will be opened from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Adams Street runs from Lowney Way to Winthrop Street.) 

The American Legion is the worlds largest veterans organization. It consist of more than three million men and women and has post through out America and in several foreign countries. 

Veterans are encouraged to come by the Post headquarters, enjoys some refreshments, meets the members and see what the Post look likes and learn about its activities.

The American Legion also has a Auxiliary organization for women who have relatives that have served and a Sons Of the American Legion for the sons and grandsons of veterans.
