Charlestown Resident Louise Ambler Osborne Receives Graduation Award from MGH Institute of Health Professions

Charlestown resident Louise de Peyster Ambler Osborne received the Josephine Mangio Keaveney Memorial Nursing Prize from the School of Nursing at MGH Institute of Health Professions during the Boston health science graduate school’s Commencement ceremonies in May.

Osborne, who earned a Master of Science in Nursing, was chosen for her strong interpersonal skills, unequaled academic ability, and adept leadership, according to School of Nursing Dean Dr. Laurie Lauzon Clabo.

The prize is awarded to an outstanding student from the School of Nursing’s post-professional nurse practitioner program who "best exemplifies the caring, spirit and professionalism of Mrs. Josephine E. Keaveney, a 1940 graduate of the former Massachusetts General Hospital diploma school which was the predecessor of the MGH Institute.
