Crews to Repair Crosswalks, Lines

The Transportation Department will be in Charlestown on June 2 to fix crosswalks, yellow lines and other traffic symbols that were damaged over the winter.

Last winter was a particularly brutal one for city streets and crosswalks.

Over the next few months, crews from the Boston Transportation Department will be in Charlestown, and neighborhoods around the city, to reinstall crosswalks, double yellow lane lines, school zone symbols and traffic turn arrows -- and any other markings in areas that have been damaged over the winter months.

Under the "Mark It" program, the city will repair more than 600 damaged crosswalks across the city, according to a press release from the city.
