Updated: Chelsea MBTA Meeting Called 'Beer Bottle Rumble'
One user still calls the meeting "very productive."
Concerned riders Wednesday packed the first of several MBTA public meetings about its .
Twitter users at the meeting reported that as many as 120 people packed the room, with more spilling into the hallway.
And the tone, according to @aceej, the twitter account for Alternatives for Community and Environment, was not pleasant. The account user said that a member of the group referred to the Chelsea meeting as a "beer bottle rumble.”

The Chelsea meeting followed , at which 85 people signed up to make a public comment.
Despite the tone described by @aceej, the MBTA thanked everyone for attending, and twitter user @mattfrank, also known as Chelsea City Councilor Matt Frank, called the meeting “very productive.”

"The MBTA listened to concerns," Frank said Thursday in an email. "We voiced our strong opinons. I have no clue what a 'Beer Bottle Rumble' is, but I think that may be hyperbole... People were upset, of course, and there was some back and forth but not quite a rumble."
The MBTA will hold another meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at the Roxbury Community College Auditorium.
The next meeting relatively close to Charlestown will be held Monday, Jan. 23 at the Transportation Building from 1-3 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
