A man who was found sleeping in the Charlestown Navy Yard on Friday, June 28 was arrested after he allegedly became combative when told to leave the area.

Massachusetts General Hospital security officers were patrolling the 13th Street area on Friday, June 28 when they found a man sleeping on a raised platform. The officers told the man several times that he was trespassing and had to leave, but the man refused and became combative, according to reports.

Officers struggled briefly with the man before placing him under arrest. He is being charged with trespassing, resisting arrest and making threats.

TV, Cable Box Stole in Residential Break-in

A TV, cable box and money were taken during a break-in at a Vernon Street home on Monday, June 24. The resident told police he left home for a few hours and returned to find his front door had been forced open. The matter is under investigation.

Warrant Arrest

An individual in the Green Street area was arrested on Tuesday, June 25 on an outstanding warrant out of Malden Court for municipal ordinance violations.

Cell Phone Stolen from Dunkin’ Donuts

A man reported that his cell phone was stolen while he was in the Cambridge Street Dunkin’ Donuts. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video and investigating.

Bike Stolen from Pick-up Truck

A bicycle was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck while the owner was inside the 99 Restaurant at the Bunker Hill Mall on Saturday, June 29.

Drug Arrests

Police arrested an individual on Sunday, June 30 in the Medford Street area for possession of a Class B substance.
