ReplyJulie - Sorry. People that live in the city and complain about noise is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I've lived near the Warren Tavern for years and have heard and seen all sorts of crazy things at 2am. Can't complain though...I chose to live here. Not sure what living in the city your whole life has to do with it.

ReplyTo complain about noise while living in a city is laughable. This isn't Sudbury.

ReplyLove the Morrissey Blvd analogy...that is a perfect correlation. Well said. This surface option is going to blow up in the decision makers faces and Charlestown residents (especially those along Main St) are going to pay for it.

ReplySaving a spot is perfectly acceptable, but only for 48 HOURS after an OFFICIAL SNOW EMERGENCY. If it's not a snow emergency and you feel that entitled after shoveling 6" of snow, perhaps you should consider moving to a warmer climate. Also, if you're still saving a spot since NEMO and someone moved your saver recently, chances are it was me! You're welcome.

ReplyThe Whole Foods is coming! The Whole Foods is coming! Eventually, the vast majority of Section 8 housing in Charlestown will be gone and the "yuppies" (your words, not mine), will reign throughout City of Boston's neighborhood known as Charlestown. Patience is a virtue, CJ. Just sit back, watch, and let it happen. There is truly no stopping it.

ReplyIf you're in Charlestown, then you're in the city. End of point. I know you are too slow to understand.

ReplyYes. Just like the financial district, Back Bay, North End, Dorchester, Southie, etc is part of the city. I am sorry if you are having trouble grasping this very basic fact. I am trying to explain it and I guess I just can't get down to your level of thinking. You'd probably have better luck speaking with someone on your intelligence level (see earlier comment about consulting a 5 year old).

ReplyYes, Joe. Please see the Boston City Hall, Boston Police Department and Boston Public Works. Charlestown is part of the city of Boston. surprised you didnt know that. Maybe this will help? Please let me know if you have any other questions. Or just ask the closest 5 year old, I am sure he/she could provide you with a sound answer.

ReplyJoe - not sure what you're talking about. They have recently put a very large, but beautiful, building where that eyesore of a KOC building already was. They're building another in an empty dirt parking lot in the Navy Yard where a building once stood. The Warren street townhouses are beautiful and are in a lot that no one was allowed to step foot on. So, what precious green space are people taking from you? If it's green space you want....hit the sticks!

Oh - and on a more positive note :-)....that is such an awesome spot for a restaurant! There has to be one there...it would be a shame if it were to remain empty or become some private boat club. Glad to hear a restaurant is moving in.
