ReplyCharlestown has always been a warm and friendly place to live. Since the 80's, the properties have seen a revival which warranted increase in desirability and cost. The faces may have changed, but the essence of the community remains.

ReplyNO! We do not need, nor want, Domino's in Charlestown. We have ToniAnn's, Jenny's, Figs and Papa Gino's. It would compare to opening another nail or hair dressing salon. We don't need, not want, any more of them, either.

ReplyYou're getting some great ideas, Diane. No more nail or hair solons. I'd love to see a farmers' market in there year round. I also like the idea of a fresh, affordable bakery. If the space is big enough, why not support both? In answer to Seamus, there are other very successful storefronts on that block. I'm not excusing what happened to Durty Harry's, no one in town is happy about that incident. But, I feel, the more foot traffic, the safer any and all areas become. Good luck to you, Diane, and the Chamber of Commerce in reaching out to a new, exciting addition for Main St. Cookie

ReplyHave you seen the prototype of this show? Although I find it funny, there is no way I would want the women of Charlestown depicted in this manner. #1 - we're so far removed from this sterotype and #2 - we don't need, nor deserve this type of depiction of the wonderful women who live here. I agree with Joseph - enough with reality shows!
