ReplyThank you for this Jon! This is exactly the perspective we need and the attitude we should have. I hope to be on the sideline cheering when Conor runs! I would like to say I'll run with him, but I don't know if my fire hydrant frame is as mobile as yours.

ReplyThere's no cause for politics here. No one should be permitted use of this for any political advantage now and forever. A rational course of action is to learn what happened and, after careful deliberation, put in place reasonable preventative measures. But there's no way to know what such measures should be at this point.

ReplyI like that you've at least fleshed out an argument. But there are some pretty big holes in your thesis here - not the least of which is that upper management and shareholders are taking an ever increasing portion of the profits. Do you suppose they're adding increasingly more value to their respective companies?

ReplyI'm excited about the surface plan. I hope our community applies the appropriate pressure to city officials to get the best possible design and outcome. Looking forward to the green space and easy access. Hopefully we can push them to move more quickly than a 10+ year timeframe.

ReplyYes it is. This is a really fantastic city to walk in and I actually like the T (even though the T does need to hurry up and join this century). But something happens to some people here when they get in their cars that makes them extremely rude. Not to pedestrians thankfully, they're very friendly to pedestrians in my humble opinion. But man are people jerks to their fellow driver. I once got honked at for not *anticipating* the green. Immediately upon the light changing from red to green, and I was paying close attention this particular moment, as my foot was moving from the brake to the gas - HOOONNKKKKK! Jeeesh. Whatever man.
