ReplyTerry,
I guess you are asking me a question so I will try to explain. It's all about what pleases the viewer...and sometimes just the photographer. In this case it's called "High-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI or HDR)". This time I took 3 shots at slightly different exposures...and then combined them so that the shaded and light areas can be seen. It's been around since the 1800's. In the old days we used to call it dodging and burning and it was done in the dark room. Any photographer who actually uses a negative...which I learned from...or nowadays a RAW file...which I use these days...has to make adjustments. One of my favorite photographers was Ansel Adams...who spent more time in the darkroom than in the field. I studied and use his ideas as much as I can. -

Noreen...Thank you. I really don't do this for pay...but you can go to http://500px.com/photo/32860285 and get a canvass print...and the few dollars I get I will donate to the One Fund - Boston. If that is more than you'd like to spend...please feel free to down load the file at the same site for $2.99 and donate whatever you feel to https://secure.onefundboston.org
