Rob, this law is already on the books and they don't enforce it. If they enforced it, it might make a difference.

ReplyMy vote is with Gomez. Markey hasn't lived here for years and only comes around when it's voting time. He could care less about the voters. He just cares about his liberal agenda. A fresh face would be nice.

ReplyI agree with Sam... Markey is a poster boy for term limits.. He only comes back to Massachusetts when he wants your vote, otherwise he's an absentee representative looking out for his own a--. Gabriel Gomez should keep wearing that Seal jacket, it might remind voters how our President wasn't interested in protecting our Ambassador or Navy Seals but rather in campaigning.

I feel for the parents who have lost children through gun violence but how about we enforce the gun laws that are already on the books. It's not the responsible gun owners that commit these crimes. Ask President Obama what he's doing about the many children killed by guns in Chicago's black neighborhoods. Is he making appearances in these neighborhoods and asking these people (adults and children) to turn in their illegal guns? Why doesn't he have the parents of these children standing behind him? Strictly politics on his behalf....

ReplyWhat a bunch of liberals. No wonder this state is so corrupt with only Democrats running it. I would vote for Lynch. You liberals should speak to the people he represents. He is always visible and there for them, unlike Markey who forgot where he lived until he decided to run for the Senate. I do hope there are some good Republicans that will at least make the race interesting.

ReplySo are we surprised? Good old liberal Massachusetts votes Democrat no matter what the candidate says or does. Maybe, someday the people will wake up and put someone with a business brain in office. We the people need to budget but not the government. They'll milk us dry and get away with it!

ReplyOh, the good old post office. They never take responsibility and their response is always "Oh well". No wonder they're losing money and we the taxpayers fund their business! Typical government.

On the article Letter: Charlestown Residents Ask Capuano To Support Austin Street Surface Option

ReplyI am no longer a Charlestown resident but was born and brought up there and agree that the people that signed this letter are not true townies. You have to be insane not to want the retention of the underpass. Imagine what the traffic will be like with a surface road and how it will affect the people living on Rutherford Ave (all the pollution and noise). I hope the powers that be listen to the "true townies".

I hope Gabriel Gomez beats the pants off of Markey so that Katherine can stay just where she is. We have enough liberals in Washington. Emily's List (1985)... that's when our country started its decline.
