Submit Starboard Place Comments by Feb. 8

Have something to say about the plans for the Navy Yard's Parcel 39A? Send your thoughts to the BRA to be included in the official record.

Charlestown residents can weigh in on the Starboard Place development proposal through Friday, Feb. 8. The project features 54 rental units on Parcel 39A in the Navy Yard, at the corner of First Avenue and Ninth Street. The Charlestown Neighborhood Council and Boston Redevelopment Authority co-hosted an official public review meeting on the project on Thursday, Jan. 24.  Following the meeting, BRA project manager Geoff Lewis said the comment period would be extended to Friday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. for anyone who wants to add their views to the official record. Residents can submit comments to geoffrey.lewis.bra@cityofboston.gov. Old Growth Trees - I grew up in Washington DC where most of the streets are lined with old growth oaks. In addition to esthetics and environmental benefits, old growth trees enhance overall property value. First Avenue is lined with beautiful, maturing oaks.
