Christmas Inflatables Display To Help Newtown
Donations made to support the holiday figures set up in the Thompson Square area will be sent to the Connecticut community.
Though there has been some discussion about whether the holiday-themed inflatables set up in Charlestown's Preservation Park are "too much," criticism isn't deterring the people who put them there. In fact, the Charlestown residents behind the display—who have chosen to remain anonymous—are now using the colorful figures to raise some money to send to the community of Newtown, CT, showing support following the Dec. 14 tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I think donations going to Newtown, CT is a wonderful gesture. Theres a town that had an unexpected amount of grief bestowed upon them and maybe some DO need the money since they've all just spent thousands burying their loved ones. Who knows what kind of financial difficulties they may be enduring at this time. Any little bit helps!   more ›
