Assault with a Tree Branch An unnamed man was arrested for striking a woman with a tree branch while she was walking with a friend on 13th Street on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The victim told police she was walking down the street when the suspect approached her and “for no reason became verbally abusive.” After passing the woman and her friend, the suspect reportedly picked up a tree branch, walked up behind the victim and struck her in the back. Purse Snatched, Wallet Stolen on Polk Street A woman walking home on Polk Street reported that a man came up behind her and stole her purse on Monday, Nov. 12 at around 7 p.m. The suspect, described as a black male, reportedly removed the woman’s wallet and threw the purse away. October 11: A person reported that their Cannon Power Shot camera had been stolen from their office on Terminal Street. October 14: An officer was stopped on Cook Street. The victim reported that someone had thrown a black folding knife through the drivers side window of his motor vehicle. An individual was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. October 14: A person reported that their Schwinn bicycle was stolen for the second time out of her garage. Surveillance videos will be reviewed for this investigation.

Officers were conducting a traffic control detail at Charlestown High School, conducting random vehicle registry check. The officers ran the plates of a 2003 Black Ford Explorer and pulled the car over. When the officers asked to see the driver’s license, the operator stated that their license was suspended. The operator then produced a Texas license, which appeared to be valid. Officers ran the license through the Massachusetts registry and found that the license was suspended. While waiting for the tow truck, the officers investigated the vehicle and discovered that the inspection sticker was altered and did not belong to the suspect’s vehicle. On Friday, July 27, a Bunker Hill Street resident reported that someone broke the rear first-floor window of his home while he was gone and raided the place. “The apartment was ransacked, with all drawers and cupboards open and emptied of contents,” a police report said. “There was also used drug needles strewn about the apartment. The Boston Housing Association boarded up the window. The resident said he would stay somewhere else until the scene had been cleaned. On Saturday, July 28 around 8 a.m., officers responded to a Pearl Street residence where a resident told police someone had smashed his window. On Saturday, July 7 around 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of an attempted unarmed robbery at the Bunker Hill Mall. The victim told police that a pair of youths ran up to her and one tried to rip a bag from her possession. When the victim tried to call police, the would-be robbers tried to take her phone from her hand. Officers checked the area and arrested two people in connection with the incident—a juvenile and Ubri Mirianni of 65 O’Reilly Way. Strike comes shortly after the restaurant's grand opening.
On Saturday, July 7 around 3 a.m., officers responded to Olives at 10 City Square for a report of vandalism. According to a police report, the general manager and bar manager, who were both on the premises, said they saw a white male in his early 20s with light brown hair throw a brick at the front door of the restaurant. The brick cracked the glass and damaged the door’s metal frame. The vandal then grabbed the brick and threw it again—this time at a front window. The strike cracked the window, and the managers told police that the suspect fled down Park Street toward Warren Street. Officers checked the area, but were unable to find the suspect.
