The USS Constitution was tugged in to Boston Harbor to fire off her cannons.
The USS Constitution was tugged into Boston Harbor to celebrate the anniversary of its October 1797 launch. Tugboats pulled Old Ironsides out to Castle Island, where she fired off thunderous shots as the HMS Dauntless and many spectators looked on. Enjoy the video and the photos of the gun salute. It was wicked windy, so the video doesn't do the sound of the cannons much justice.

On Sunday, we brought you photos from the dock as the USS Constitution left for its first sail in 15 years. We also threw open the doors for you to add your own photos from the day's historic event.
