Police, Protesters Standoff at Charlestown Bridge
On Monday, thousands of demonstrators marched toward the Charlestown Bridge as part of the Occupy Boston protest -- but they were halted by police.
The protesters who have set up camp in Dewey Square and on a patch of grass on the Rose Kennedy Greenway almost brought their movement to Charlestown on Monday afternoon -- but they were stopped by Boston Police as they made their way toward the Charlestown Bridge. Occupy Boston has generally been a statement against Wall Street and for the "99 percent" -- average Americans that they say are suffering at the hands of corporate and financial corruption.
