Charlestown Max & Dylans to Become Papagayo

The City Square business closed on Sunday and will reopen in May as a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar.

The Max and Dylans in Charlestown’s City Square is set to become the city’s second Papagayo Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar. The restaurant, located at 1 Chelsea St., closed on Sunday, April 21 and is now undergoing renovations, with plans to reopen on May 1 with a new name, style and menu, according to an announcement on papagayoboston.com. Both Max and Dylans and Papagayo are owned and operated by the Legendary Restaurant Group, along with four other restaurants—including the new Burger Dive in Somerville, which opened last November. Tavern on the Water Closes Its Doors

An official announcement was posted Monday on the restaurant's website.

Tavern on the Water in Charlestown has closed for good. Reports of the restaurant—located on Pier 6 in the Charlestown Navy Yard—shutting its doors first surfaced last Wednesday, as Charlestown Patch reader Sylvia Carroll posted a notice in the blog section of the site, though she had no further information about the closure at the time. Another blog post, written on Saturday, Nov. 24 on Adam’s Hospitality & Tourism Industry Blog, confirmed the announcement, saying the restaurant’s phone number is out of service and someone at one of Tavern on the Water’s sister restaurants, owned by Legendary Restaurant Group, had stated that Tavern would not be reopening. One More Take-Out Option in Charlestown

Andiamo's in City Square is catering exclusively to the take-out crowd with Italian and American classic dishes. Now serving lunch and dinner.

Too tired to cook, sick of delivery, and don't feel like eating out?
