PHOTOS: Julia Stiles and Crew Film on Main Street

Contrary to earlier reports, Julia Stiles was in Charlestown, Wednesday, filming a scene for her made-for-tv movie, "The Makeover." Stiles' scene took place in and around Salon Forty-Four at 44 Main Street. The crew also filmed a fake political commercial next to the nearby construction site on Warren Street. The crew will be back in town Thursday and then will remain away until Sept. 24. Full Proposed filming schedule: Sept. 12 Sept. 13 Sept. 24 Sept. 25 Sept. 26

Crew for Julia Stiles Movie in Charlestown Today

"10 Things I Hate About You" and "Bourne Ultimatum" star Julia Stiles will not be in town for filming Wednesday or Thursday.

A movie crew will be in town from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Today, Wednesday Sept. 12 and tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 13 to film scenes for the Julia Stiles film, "The Makeover." Today's filming will include scenes at the corner of Park Street and Warren Street and at Salon Forty-Four at 44 Main Street. Stiles, the "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Bourne Ultimatum" star, will not be in town for this week's filming, we reported Monday. The crew will return to town closer to the end of the month, but not before the Charlestown Neighborhood Council holds a meeting about the street closures the filming would involve. Movie Crew Will Visit This Week Without Stiles

The movie crew for the film "The Makeover" will return Sept. 24-26.

This week’s visit from a movie crew will not include the production’s most notable star—“10 Things I hate About You” and “Bourne” veteran Julia Stiles. Cameras and crew for the made-for-TV movie “The Makeover” will come to town Wednesday and Thursday to film at Salon Forty-Four on Main Street and an active construction site at the corner of Park Street and Warren Street. The crew will also spend time at the Charlestown Commerce Center at 50 Terminal Street. This week’s filming will include traffic disruptions. Ryan Cook, who’s assisting with the production’s local arrangements, told the Charlestown Neighborhood Council, Tuesday, that they will not extend into rush hour. Julia Stiles Coming to Charlestown with 'Ted' Veteran

Filming will take place on five days in September.

Julia Stiles and a movie crew will descend on Charlestown this month. Ryan Cook, a movie business professional who worked on the recent Boston-based Mark Wahlberg hit, “Ted,” told the Charlestown Neighborhood Council Tuesday that he will bring Stiles and crew to town on Sept. 12, 13, 24, 25 and 26. According to information supplied to the council and Charlestown Patch, the made for TV political romantic comedy “The Makeover” will film at Salon Fourty-Four, the active construction site at the corner of Park Street and Warren Street, the Charlestown Commerce Center, 12 Belmont Street and 56 Union Street. Hollywood Wants to Come to Charlestown Again

Producers of the film R.I.P.D., starring Kevin Bacon, Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, are requesting permission to shoot for three days in September around Pleasant Street Court.

Hollywood loves Charlestown. Obviously. Hollywood would like to show that love, again. This week, producers of the upcoming film R.I.P.D. (starring Jeff Bridges) will ask members of the Neighborhood Council for permission to film in the area of Pleasant Street Court. They'd like to shoot from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. from Sept. 11 to Sept. 14. Attention! If you live anywhere in the vicinity of Pleasant Street Court, you might want to stop by the Neighborhood Council Basic Services Committee meeting on Sept. 7.
