Harvest on Vine Plans Holiday Outreach

A fundraiser this Sunday at the Navy Yard Bistro will help support Thanksgiving donations from the food pantry.

In 2003 the building that formerly housed St. Catherine's School was reclaimed by a group of local parishioners and transformed into the Harvest on Vine food pantry. Over the last seven years, members of St. Mary's and St. Catherine's parishes and Tom MacDonald, social ministry director, have used the site to help hundreds of families in need. Harvest on Vine's organizers have also put together dozens of public events to generate publicity for the pantry, attract new volunteers and give the community a chance to give back through monetary donations.  That tradition continues on Sunday with the annual Harvest on Vine Fall Fundraiser, a benefit dinner at the Navy Yard Bistro from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There are 60 seats available for this meet-…
