Patch is providing readers with an easy way to help the towns affected by Hurricane Sandy as they build and recover. For every tweet that includes the #PatchRebuilds hashtag, Patch will donate $1 to AmeriCares Superstorm Sandy Relief Efforts, up to $125,000. Click here to tweet your support for Sandy communities. Your gift will help AmeriCares respond to Superstorm Sandy with medical and humanitarian aid, grants and programs to help support survivors across the country. Help showcase people who are doing great things in your community with our new feature, Count Us In.
Your neighbor who volunteers at the library, your child’s bus driver, and the Little League coach in your community may not seem to have much in common at first glance. But Patch’s new initiative, Count Us In, aspires to bring together all Good Samaritans by highlighting residents who are exemplary at making your community a more positive place. Partnering with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HPHC), Count Us In aims to illustrate HPHC's values. They believe that “amazing things happen when people work together” and that is why we want to share stories about just that.
