The Polish American String Band performed their annual show Saturday in Charlestown.

The Philadelphia, PA-based Polish American String Band performed their special brand of polka Saturday, June 15 at the base of the Bunker Hill Monument, part of the Battle of Bunker Hill/Charlestown Pride Week festivities.

Legendary Boston Rock Stars Unite for One Fund

The show’s lineup includes Aerosmith, Boston, James Taylor and others.

Legends of Boston rock history will take the stage later this month to benefit victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Aerosmith, James Taylor, Extreme, Godsmack and New Kids On The Block are among the multi-band lineup for a May 30 show at TD Garden. Net proceeds of the show will benefit One Fund Boston. Gov. Deval Patrick and Mayor Thomas Menino helped set up the concert, “Boston Strong, An Evening of Support And Celebration,” which Live Nation is promoting, according to Boston.com. Tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster and the TD Garden box office on Monday, May 6 at 10 a.m.

12-12-12 Concert to Benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims

Some of the biggest names in music will play at a benefit concert on Wednesday. All proceeds will go to Hurricane Sandy victims, via the Robin Hood Foundation.

Huge names in music are lending their talents to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts at the “12-12-12” concert on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Every penny sold from ticket sales will go directly to Sandy victims through the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which provides material, money and aid to local organizations that are serving families and individuals in the regions hardest hit by the storm, including over 200 Patch towns in New Jersey, Connecticut and Long Island. The all-star lineup includes Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney, with other artists to be announced.
