Charlestown Chamber Seeks Vendors for October Open Market
The Open Market will be held on Oct. 8. Vendors should sign up for a spot by Sept. 30.
What are local businesses to do on the busiest tourist weekend in New England? Hold another Open Market at the Bunker Hill Mall! The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce is soliciting vendors for an Open Market on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- which will coincide with the tourist crowd that floods the city over Columbus Day Weekend. Local retailers and artisans are welcome to participate. Download an application to sign up for a spot. Deadline for applications is Sept. 30. (The application is attached to this article in PDF format.) Just like the Open Market the Chamber hosted in June, vendors will table under the overhang at the Bunker Hill Mall. Can i make a suggestion....the mall is ok if you are attracting local residents, but if you want to include "tourists" i would suggest a location closer to the freedom trail...and i have often thought the lower end of the harvard mall is a large, underutilized area that could make a nice open marketplace. the quaint brick path and bench seating on each side...add a little solar lighting on the … more ›
