Childcare Company Eyes Bunker Hill Pavilion
National Development is negotiating a lease with the prospective tenant.
Charlestown could be getting a new option for childcare with the renovation of the former Bunker Hill pavilion. Jerome A. Kyllingstad, vice president of National Development, presented an early look at the project at the Nov. 8 Charlestown Neighborhood Association meeting. National Development, which is behind other renovations in the Constitution Center area, is currently negotiating a lease for about 9,600 square feet in the former pavilion—identified as "building 3"—for a yet-to-be-named childcare company, Kyllingstad said. The project would involve a reuse of the existing building and would be “very low impact,” Kyllingstad said.
