Neighborhood Council Launches New Website

The page will keep residents informed with meeting times, agendas, minutes and more.

The Charlestown Neighborhood Council on Monday launched a new website. “I decided that the CNC needed to have a website so people could keep track of the meetings and the results of the meetings,” said council member Diane Grant, who designed the site. Located at charlestownneighborhoodcouncil.org, the website lists the names and email addresses for all council members and committee members as well as upcoming meeting dates, agendas and minutes. This week’s calendar features two events: the council’s general meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 4, and the Rutherford Avenue/Austin Street meeting, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 6, both at the Knights of Columbus, 545 Medford St. Residents interested in appearing before the council at one of …

New CNC Member Promises Fresh Perspective

Amanda Reinfeld was elected on Nov. 18 to the Charlestown Neighborhood Council.

Local residents elected a new member to the Charlestown Neighborhood Council on Nov. 18, choosing Amanda Reinfeld along with six incumbents to serve in the council's seven at-large seats. Reinfeld lives in Charlestown with her husband David, their three kids, Sophia, 6, Jack, 4, and Margot, 1 1/2, and their dog Stella. She will officially take her seat at the council's first meeting in January. Reinfeld recently sat down with Patch to introduce herself and talk about what she hopes to accomplish on the CNC. How long have you lived in Charlestown? My husband and I moved here in 2005. Neighborhood Council Election Set Saturday

Eight Charlestown residents are running for seven at-large seats.

Eight local residents are running for seven at-large seats on the Charlestown Neighborhood Council in this Saturday’s election. All Charlestown residents ages 18 and up are eligible to vote in the council election and can cast their ballots between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Knights of Columbus hall, 545 Medford St. The at-large candidates include seven incumbents—Barbara Babin, Peg Bradley, Paul Clausen, Tom Cunha, Ed Grace, Mark Rosenshein and Erin Sullivan—and one new candidate, Amanda Reinfeld. Elections for the CNC are staggered, with seven of the 21 seats up each year.
