Todd English's Olives Rumored To Be Closing

An unconfirmed report by the Boston Globe states that the Charlestown restaurant may be replaced by a Legal Sea Foods.

Todd English may be planning to close Olives in Charlestown, the Boston Globe reported Monday. Citing a rumor that was posted on Facebook and circulated among various food blogs, the Globe reported that English would be closing the local restaurant and that a Legal Sea Foods Legal Test Kitchen would be moving in. However, the Globe also spoke to someone close to English who said the restaurant would not be closing anytime soon. What do you think about the rumor? Are you surprised by the possible closure? Would you miss Olives? And how do you feel about a Legal Sea Foods coming to town? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Report: Remington’s of Boston To Close

Rumor has it that, with the building lease up, the restaurant, located between Downtown Crossing and the Theater District, will shutter and the comedy club downstairs will relocate.

Downtown restaurant Remington’s of Boston will be closing its doors, along with the Beantown Comedy Club downstairs, according to a Boston restaurant blog. Boston Restaurant Talk reports that, according to a member of the Downtown Crossing Vending Association, the restaurant and comedy club leases will not be renewed, forcing Remington's to close and the Beantown Comedy Vault to search for a new location. The building is located at 124 Boylston St. between the Downtown Crossing and Theater District neighborhoods.
