Charlestown Resident and member of Horizons for Homeless Children’s Young Professionals Committee, Meg Shea, co-chaired and ran the 2013 “Route for Kids” 5k hosted by Horizons for Homeless Children. This year’s 5k take took place in Jamaica Plain, and drew a large crowd of runners all sharing the same goal as Shea – to help raise funds and awareness that would make a difference in the life of a homeless child.
Horizons for Homeless Children wants to thank everyone (runners, walkers and volunteers) who have helped make this annual 5k a huge success by raising funds for Horizons for Homeless Children programs.

I would like to give thanks to all who were responsible for decorating the parade route with the flag balloons it was very tastefully done, also I have noticed that they have also been removed, not left up untill they became a rubbish problem!
My hat goes off to all.
Thank You for you time and decorations.
