Shuttle Buses to Replace Orange Line Trains Starting Sunday

The change will take place between Sullivan Square and Oak Grove.

Shuttle buses will replace trains along the Orange Line between Sullivan Square in Charlestown and Oak Grove Station in Malden this weekend, according to the MBTA.

The buses will replace trains beginning at about 8:45 p.m. through the end of service each night starting Sunday, July 27 and running through Thursday, July 31, according to the announcement. 

Regular Orange Line trains are expected to resume at the start of service the following day. The following stops will be affected:

  • Malden Center Station
  • Wellington Station
  • Sullivan Station

The move is part of the ongoing Assembly Station Project, according to MBTA officials.
