Live Owls at the Charlestown Branch Library This Thursday

Events coming this week in Charlestown.

• See live owls at the Charlestown branch of the Boston Public Library, 179 Main St., on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The library is kicking off its owl-themed fall programming with this fun and educational show by Eyes on Owls. We'll meet six live owls native to New England, have a hooting lesson, and learn about owl conservation. Be sure to pick up an owl chart to start earning prizes.

Join young adult from the neighborhood for a discussion of the book "Sweet Tooth" by Ian McEwan. Come by the Charlestown branch of the Boston Public Library on Main Street  to pick up a copy of the book and help with the discussion happening on Monday, Oct. 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

• The library is the perfect place to go after school to 5:30 p.m. Get help with homework and play learning games on our new touchscreen computer. On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the branch will be full of board games to play with friends.
