Chamber Christmas, Screening 'The Anonymous People,' After School Science Club

Events in the coming workweek in Charlestown.

The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual "Holiday Party" this Tuesday night, Dec. 10, at Memorial Hall on Greene Street starting at 6:30 p.m. Board Member Stephanie Rivkind solicited 10 neighborhood restaurants to partake in a "Tasting of Charlestown"; she is also working with fellow board member Sean Boyle to create a first-time ever Holiday event. Admission is free but the Chamber is requesting everyone comes to the party with a $35 check made out to Harvest on Vine.

The Charlestown Substance Abuse Coalition is sponsoring a showing of The Anonymous People, at the Knights of Columbus, 545 Medford St., on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. The screening is free. The film is a feature documentary about the more than 23 million Americans living in long-term recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Afterschool Science Club will take place at the Charlestown branch of the Boston Public Library, 179 Main St., on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Join the staff and student tutors for experiments and concoctions as we learn about science.
