St. Mary-St. Catherine of Siena is very pleased to welcome John Allen, associate editor of the Boston Globe, for its Gallagher Speaker Series on Sunday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Church at 55 Warren Street.
Mr. Allen specializes in Vatican and global Catholic issues. He is the senior Vatican analyst for CNN, the author of nine books, and was a correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter for 16 years. His presentation, The Francis Effect, will discuss the impact of Pope Francis on Catholics around the world.

In 2007, a lecture series began in our Parish, which was named in honor of Father Henry Gallagher, a beloved priest and native of Charlestown. Past speakers included Cardinal Sean O’Malley, and Sister Helen Prejean, whose story was featured in the film Dead Man Walking.
