Registration Now Underway for Charlestown Youth Basketball

Parents have until the end of November to sign up their kids.

Registration for the 2014 Charlestown Youth Basketball League's season is now underway! Parents are asked to complete a registration form obtained by contacting Karen Sullivan at karengsullivan@yahoo.com or going to the website for each child and return to Sullivan or Mimi Wrenn at the Community Center. The league will be accepting registrations through the month of November.

Basketball Program Overview:

  • Forms and registration fee are due by FRIDAY, November 29. Only checks or money orders will be accepted. NO CASH.
  • The first 40 kids to register for each age group will be accepted. After that, we will put names on a waitlist.
  • Age Groups: Pee Wee – 6/7 yr olds (as of 9/1/13), Jr. Varsity – 8/9 yr olds (as of 9/1/13), Varsity – 10/12 yr olds (as of 9/1/13).
  • Girls’ Only League will be available for JV and Varsity Age Groups. Pee-Wee will remain co-ed.
  • Returning players can use their basketball jerseys from last year. If you need a new shirt, cost is $20. Please check form if shirt is needed.
  • Scholarships are available.Please contact Mimi Wrenn at maryannwrenn@cityofboston.gov or Karen Sullivan at karengsullivan@yahoo.com to request financial assistance.
  • All players must be members of the Charlestown Community Center. If your child has not registered at the Community Center, please complete a membership form, which are available at the Community Center. This membership is free. 
  • Basketball clinics will be held in December – schedule to be distributed.
  • League will run Tuesday, January 7th – Thursday, March 20th.
  • T-shirts and team assignments will be distributed on Tuesday, January 7th.
