Charlestown Gets New Hometown Hockey Team

Suffolk University's hockey team makes the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink its home turf.

The following was taken from an email sent by Peter Cross at Suffolk University.

The Suffolk University Club Ice Hockey Team just moved to the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and would like to extend an invitation to the community of Charlestown to come out and support the local University as it marks it's first year in the Atlantic College Hockey Association (Division II).

All games are free for Charlestown residents, though we will have a donation box that will go directly to the Boys and Girls club of Charlestown.

We will also have a year-long, ongoing donation box for old hockey equipment that we can donate to the kids of Charlestown. We will also have promotional raffles at games (example: a lucky fan could win a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant) at each home game.
