Charlestown's market, which is managed by the Kennedy Center, will be one of 27 local farmers markets opening across the city this summer, when residents will have the chance to purchase local produce from New England farmers, with 14 of the locations selling local seafood.

Through a Bounty Bucks program available at 25 of the markets this summer, a dollar-for-dollar donation up to $10 will be made each time a client of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program shops at a participating farmers market.
