Boston residents can get involved and have their voices heard by attending a public meeting on a number of new developments underway this year and coming up.
The Boston Redevelopment Authority has posted the following meetings for this week:
- Wentworth Task Force Meeting—Tuesday, Jan. 8, 6-7 p.m. at Beatty Hall’s multipurpose room on the Wentworth Institute of Technology campus. This meeting will include an overview of Wentworth IMP projects, an update on the new dorm planned at 525 Huntington Ave., and details on the proposed Sweeney Field project.
- Fairmount Indigo Planning Initiative Corridor-Wide Advisory Group Meeting—Wednesday, Jan. 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Mildred Avenue Community Center, 5 Mildred Ave., Mattapan. This is the latest meeting of the Fairmount Indigo Corridor-Wide Advisory Group, a 25-member committee charged with developing a vision, identitiy and growth strategy for the communities traversed by the Fairmount Indigo Commuter Rail Line, which includes downtown Boston, South Boston, Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park.
- S. Huntington Corridor Study Community Meeting—Wednesday, Jan. 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hennigan Elementary School, 200 Heath St., Jamaica Plain. This is the second meeting for the S. Huntington Avenue Corridor Study. The group will review feedback from the first listening session and will then break into smaller groups to discuss mixed uses, physical characteristics and transportation needs along the corridor in smaller discussion groups.
The Boston Redevelopment Authority’s next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 17 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Boston City Hall, in the ninth-floor room 900. All meetings are open to the public unless otherwise stated.
