Building 108 in the Navy Yard continues to be a structural and environmental hazard. BRA refuses to take responsibility despite recent letters from MassDEP and Army Corps of Engineers indicating BRA is responsible. Building 108 is structurally unsound and loaded with asbestos and other chemical contamination in its building material, soil, and groundwater. The building's roof is fallen in and pieces blow in the wind. I do not think this building will make another winter. I think the public safety or basic services committee should report on this unsafe situation.
