Five: Big Day for the 40 Warren Project

The discussion will continue at tonight's neighborhood council meeting.

Today is Tuesday, Dec. 6. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Bring an umbrella. If Weather Underground has it right, it’s likely to shower off and on all day today. On the upside, things should stay warm, and the site’s revised outlook has this completely inappropriate weather continuing through Friday. Winter will get here eventually, I’m sure.

2. The 40 Warren conflict continues. We spoke briefly to Vahid Nickpour with the yesterday, and he said he still hadn’t decided whether or not to ask for a deferral from Boston’s Zoning Board of Appeals. The board hasn’t listed this on its site, but we understand that the project’s hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

3. The neighborhood council meets tonight. Its agenda includes, among other things, a discussion of the aforementioned 40 Warren Street project.

4. Another new feature. We kicked off another new feature yesterday: . Call it an experiment, if you like, but we’re looking for your photos on a regular basis. Until we start getting a regular flow from you, though, we have no problem snapping the shutter ourselves.

5. Sponsor a Charlestown family this season. The has opened a call for help for those families in Charlestown who cannot afford a holiday dinner, winter coat or holiday gifts for their children. If interested, contact Martha Auerback at 617.241.8866 x 1338.
