Robber Strikes Cooperative Bank, Gets Caught in Parking Lot

Crook doesn't get far after Tuesday morning heist.

A bank robber struck on Main Street in Charlestown Tuesday, but didn't get far from the scene of the crime, according to scanner reports.

The first reports crossed the scanner around 8:50 a.m., saying that the robber used a note. Shortly afterward, followup reports said that police caught the robber in the parking lot immediately adjacent to the bank's 201 Main Street locaiton.

At least one twitter user passed by the robbery "in progress," and couldn't help but tag her tweet with "#thetown" and "#wheresbenaffleck."
