Police Reports: Road Rage on Alford Street

These reports were collected from the Boston Police Department and took place between Jan. 15 and 20 within Charlestown's District A-15. Any charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

Road Rage on Alford Street 
A man driving on Alford Street on Wednesday, Jan. 16 told police that another driver punched him in the face.

The victim was reportedly sitting in traffic just before the Alford Street bridge when the operator of a silver Ford truck attempted to make a u-turn but was not able to. The Ford driver then allegedly jumped out of his truck and punched the victim in the face. The assailant fled the scene before police arrived.

No charges were mentioned in the report.

Woman Struck in Back of Head 
A woman was struck in the back of the head during a confrontation with a group of people outside Charlestown High School on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

According to reports, the woman was watching a high school basketball game when she saw a group of people throwing snow at her vehicle. She asked them to stop, and that’s when someone allegedly struck her in the back of the head. The woman told police she did not see who hit her, but police are reviewing cameras in the area.

Cable Box, 300 DVDs Missing 
A Dunstable Street resident returned home on Friday, Jan. 18 and found one of her cable boxes and a box containing more than 300 DVDs missing. Police checked the residence but found no sign of forced entry; however, the sliding door may have been open.

Two Charged with Drug Possession 
Two people were arrested for drug possession on Monument Street on Saturday, Jan. 19. The arrests were part of an ongoing drug investigation. The pair was charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.

Unfamiliar Items Found in Home 
A Tufts Street resident called police on Wednesday, Jan. 16 after she returned home and found items that were not hers inside the residence. The woman reported nothing missing from the home but told police she believed employees of building management might have entered her home without permission.
