Police Reports: Men Smash Coffee Table, Chase Owner with Bat

Six Men Smash Coffee Table, Chase Owner with Bat

A Bunker Hill Street resident told police that six men knocked on his door late Saturday night, smashed his coffee table and then chased him with a bat.

The man said that at about 1 a.m. on Aug. 10 six men banged on his door and he let them in. That’s when they allegedly smashed his coffee table. The man fled the apartment and was chased by three of the men, one of whom allegedly struck him several times with a bat. The man was able to deflect the blows and later declined medical attention.

The man was reportedly uncooperative with officers and was not forthcoming with information about the incident.

Lock Snapped, Bike Stolen

A Brighton Street resident reported on Thursday, Aug. 8 that someone stole a blue Diamondback mountain bike from the garage in his building. The thief appeared to have used bolt cutters to snap the lock.

Woman Struck in Eye with Flower Pot

A resident on Tibbetts Town Way reported that threw a flowerpot at her, striking her in the eye during a fight on Saturday, Aug. 10 at around 11 p.m.

The woman told police that one of the people across the street had thrown the pot at her. The suspect was located and arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Officers learned there had been ongoing disputes between the parties, according to reports.

Individual Charged with Assault, Resisting Arrest

One person was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, disorderly person and resisting arrest after police were called to handle a group causing a disturbance on O’Meara Court on Sunday, Aug. 11 at around 4 a.m.
