Police Charge Swampscott Man After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Charlestown
Ricky Prezioso, 41, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after causing death.
Boston Police have charged a Swampscott man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Charlestown's Sullivan Square Thursday afternoon.
Authorities found Ricky Prezioso, 41, of Swampscott, around 10:30 p.m. Thursday as they investigated the accident that occurred around 1:40 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the area of Cambridge and Spice streets in Charlestown, Boston Police said.
When authorities arrived at the scene Thursday afternoon, they found a male victim suffering from what appeared to be life-threatening injuries; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives were able to locate the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident, described as a white garbage truck, in Revere Thursday night. Prezioso was subsequently charged with leaving the scene of an accident after causing death, Boston Police said.
